Supplies               The textbook is I. Scott MacKenzie, The 68000 Microprocessor.

                              There is also a lab manual (available soon).

                              You will need a Zip disk or USB storage device.

Exams                  I give makeup exams only for severe and documented reasons.

                              Exam 1                  Wednesday, September 28

                              Exam 2                  Friday, October 21

                              Exam 3                  Friday, November 18

                              Final Exam            Monday, December 19, 2:00-3:50

Attendance       Most of the work for this course needs to be done in class.  You are expected to attend every day.

Homework          Homework will be due weekly, usually on Monday.  Cooperation on homework is encouraged, but write up solutions on your own.  Homework is graded +, Ã or 0.  Late homework is always accepted for a Ã, but you will get no comments.

Grading              Grading for 305 is weighted as follows:

                                          Homework            15%

                                          3 Exams                 15% each

                                          Final Exam            40%

                              Grading for 306 is weighted as follows:

                                          Lab reports           60%

                                          Final project          40%

                              Grading is on a straight scale (uncurved), with 90, 80, 70, and 60%guaranteeing A, B, C, D respectively.  Note that A- and B- grades are new to SLU this year.

Honesty              Students are expected to be honest in their academic work.  Plagiarism, cheating and dishonesty will be reported to the dean and may result in probation, expulsion, or worse.
